Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Masterplan + Transect

Research Studio

Fall 2019

New Orleans

The goal of this studio was to explore the densification of the high ground surrounding the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal in New Orleans as a potential area of future resiliency for the city. The focus of the project became the integration of green infrastructure as floodable public space and zoning in section. These concepts were deployed on a site that in the short-term would connect two formally disconnected areas of the city with essential program, and in the long term explore the potential of a node of the city with resilient housing and sustainable food and energy production.
